As a long-time member and dedicated volunteer of our association, I am honored to seek your vote for the LSA Board of Directors. Having been a weekender since 1978 and a full-time resident since 2000, I’ve witnessed our community evolve from a dream into a vibrant home for weekenders, families, retirees, and all who cherish this beautiful place. I ask for your support to continue this legacy.
My 15-year tenure on the LSA Board (2007-2022), including 12 years as Corporate Secretary, equipped me with a deep understanding of our governance, financial processes, and community needs. I upheld board duties as required by law and our governing documents, collaborating with management and committees to review budgets, reserve studies, contracts and future growth. Projects like the Dog Park, Spray Park, and Accessible Fishing Docks reflect my commitment to enhancing our amenities while ensuring safety and beauty.
As a board liaison for committees like Buildings, Roads & Grounds and the Campground, I fostered open communication and team effort. I chaired the Activities Committee, leading the 40th Anniversary Summerfest, where board members and I raised funds by serving 800 meals and organizing diverse entertainment. My business background—owning multiple businesses from 1985-2016, negotiating global contracts with QVC and Walmart—honed my skills in financial stewardship and decision-making, which I brought to LSA’s budget process.
Today, as a member of the Long Range and Facilities Committee, I remain dedicated to our growth. My decisions are grounded in facts and discussion, respecting all members’ voices.
I respectfully ask for your vote to maintain LSA’s vision—safe, beautiful, and thriving. Together, we can continue to build on our founder’s dreams. Cast your ballot for me, and let’s continue this journey.
