Dear Lake Summerset Members,
As your current Board Director, I’m running for re-election to continue serving our community for another three years. Since moving here full-time in 2016, I’ve worked tirelessly to enhance Lake Summerset. Your vote will ensure continued leadership, transparency, and progress.
My first term demonstrates my commitment. As Chairman of the Ad Hoc Roads Committee, Board Liaison for the CRC Committee, member of the Long Range and Facilities Planning Committee, and Otter Creek Lake Utility District Trustee, I’ve driven projects that benefit all. For eight years, I’ve been active in the Bocce Club, helping refurbish our courts and fostering community spirit.
A career as an Operating Engineer provides the foundation to serve effectively. In the role of Coordinator/Administrator, leadership extended to managing 60 employees, training thousands, and overseeing an $8–10 million budget alongside 11 trustees. Leading the construction of a $61 million training center in Wilmington, IL, sharpened skills I now apply to LSA’s infrastructure projects. Collaboration with legal counsel on discrimination lawsuits, Equal Employment Opportunity cases, and depositions ensured compliance and fairness. Service on the Will County Workforce Investment Board for four years further enhanced governance expertise.
I pledge to uphold fairness, transparency, and fiscal responsibility. My construction and administrative experience will guide cost-effective solutions for our roads, facilities, and utilities. I’ll represent all members, balancing individual input with community-wide needs, and communicate openly through LSA channels.
Our entire community benefits from steady leadership. I’m committed to unity and progress, avoiding division. Re-elect me to keep Lake Summerset thriving.
Please vote for me in the upcoming election. Together, we’ll build better roads and a stronger future.
Sincerely, Roger F. Allen Lake Summerset Board Director
